Happy 4th

The 'spaz is sorry that she is delinquent with her 4th of July post this year. She took the opportunity of a long weekend to travel to NC to visit an old friend of hers.

They met over 10 years ago at the same job and instantly hit it off. Ever since its like time does not really move on. No matter how long it has been since they chatted or even saw each other, they pick up right where they left off.

So, its been a wonderful way to celebrate Independence Day. Good company, lots of (much needed) sunshine and a weekend full of "girl time". I'm only sad to see my departure day arrive so quickly, but that is what happens when you are having fun.

Sadly, my hubby was not able to come on this trip. He was spending time being at the ready to protect our shores and assist stranded boaters over the weekend. For that, I am greatful! He has served his country for over 14 years and I am very proud of his dedication.
